K2 Disruption MTI

The Disruption MTI and Disruption MTI Alliance (women’s) are setting a new standard for high speed skiing on piste. With a medium-length turn radius, Titanal I-Beam construction and Dark Matter Damping combining for a smooth, quiet performance, these skis are designed for expert skiers who aim to push their on piste skiing. Sparking arcs and burning sidewalls are the name of the game, aggressive skiers will reach new levels of carving precision with these planted and powerful skis.

Although the MTI are most at home on a pristine groomer laying out high speed GS style turns they are super versatile, able to transition into shorter radius turns or smooth parallel arcs with ease. They are incredibly stable at high speeds and with a slight tip and tail speed rocker they are quick and nimble through any lumps and bumps.

The Dark Matter Damping is the exciting new tech story this winter, designed by K2 to improve the absorption of high frequency vibrations right over the edge of the ski without sacrificing precision. Traditionally this would require adding extra weight to the ski, but DMD consists of a polymeric damper that is sandwiched between two layers of high modulus carbon which when strategically placed along the edge of the ski is able to eliminate high frequency vibration without making the ski drastically heavy. This helps to increase edge grip at high speeds allowing for superior accuracy and a super smooth performance
